Well we are finally finished fabricating for the Lightweight show in Dublin. Hear are some photos from the past few days.
First are some shots of the cover for the control panel. The original instillation did not include a cover because we never imagined we would be leaving it unattended, however, for the month long show in Dublin we will likely leave it unattended often. This cover will keep curious fingers away from the buttons and switches that turn the Chamber on and off.
The cover started as two heave chunks of pipe.

Here you can see I’ve joined two semicircles pieces to fit around the covers handles and rejoined them with some perforated steel.
A close shot of the covers top.

On the left here you can see the finished cover with some tabs and thumb screws I’ve added so we can take it on and off quickly.
On the right you can see the complete array base.
Here is the same array base with the antenna on it.

Here is the light David made for the antenna array. It’s upside down in this photo but you get the point. I think we are going to use a different bulb.

I also rebuilt the the internal mounting pads. This is part of the chambers guts that is hiddend in the end. It’s where the end of the axons attact to.
This section (weighing in at 60 lbs) was not ready to ship with the huge box that went out a few weeks ago. This is being sent via UPS to Dublin and should be there when we arrive.

Here is the snug, protective box we made so these delicate platters would not get damaged in shipping.

David making sure UPS knows which way is up.

The box ready to go. Goodbye little box, see you in Dublin.
