DCA: Fabracation 7 — Rear Sprocket, Base Supports and New Widget

Well, with about a week to go before the Edwardian Ball where the Dihemisoheric Chronaether Agirator makes its world debut, it’s all about the finishing touches. Here are some photos of some of the new bits.

First off we have the drive sprocket. Here is a rear view of the DCA with a close up shot of the sprocket. Yes, it’s a bicycle sprocket (Thanks Dick!). It will attach, via a chain, to another small sprocket on the steam engine that will be powering this puppy.

Also, I’ve added in two supports for the base. This are diffrent then the orginal design. They are slimier and simpler, they were easier to fabricate and I like them a great deal more. They strengthen and stiffen the base without detracting from the hovering look.

And lastly — a new widget that will mount on the side of the bowls.
