I know I am tottaly behind the curve when it comes to these things but it was only the other day that I got to drive around SF with a G3 iphone. Using the GPS was very cool and handy (I get lost in my own apartment). We used the Yelp! app to find a restaurant in the mission and the GPS to get us there (even thought we knew how to — such is the pleasure of new toys) but were disappointed when we were unable to find parking.
I cursed the stupid iphone and swore I’d never us it again … until we got home.
But this fall you will be able to find parking in sf with your iphone:
They should enable these sensors to draw form my fastrak account so I never have to worry about feeding the meter. In fact I should be able to reserve a parking spot with my iphone when I’m getting close to it and my iphone should be able to call me when that Wedensday spot I like so much opens up.
